One of these things is things is not like the others
For the last few weeks my right ring finger has been steadily growing. It started with a little bump on my knuckle; then it got really creaky and sore. Now, it is pretty much non-bendy and really painful. Since this most certainly isn't covered by my catastrophic insurance policy I finally went to the store to buy a splint in hopes that keeping it stabilized will get it back on the road to its normal pudgy digit status. I am now the owner of the deluxe finger care kit; complete with foam & aluminum splint, finger freezer ice pack ( a nifty little tube to stick my tender finger in) and two bands to use to keep 2 fingers together. All of my new handicap-chic accessories make having such a jankie finger a little bit more bearable. So far they seem to be helping a little bit but certainly didn't prevent me from having a dream last night that my finger needed to be amputated. Hopefully I'll be back in fighting form soon cause let me tell you none of my new bling options make typing easy.
**Update: I thought you guys might wanna see the caliber of accouterment I am now rocking

Weird. Good luck with that... splint typing must suck! Maybe Dr. Erin has some helpful ideas?
ReplyDeleteEmma, what happened to cause this??
ReplyDeleteWTF, ladies? First hearing loss in L, now acute RA in one knuckle for E?
