Conclusion 1: Someday, to fully express my <3 for Lady Gaga I will have this image (backup dancer and all) tatt'ed on my calf.
Observation 1: Imogene Heap won for best engineering on her album which she produced, recorded & engineered by herself with input from Twitter. A first on many levels.
Obsevation 2: They should just give up on actually presenting the awards. These are not normally articulate people giving them a mic and cutting out precious performance time is a waste of broadcast space. I mean, if they just made it like Jingle Ball with a few totally rando duets tossed in ratings would soar.
Highlight 1: Beyonce 3-D jam
Observation 3: Danielle: "Oh, I totally made this song up when I was 12" re TayTay Swift's brand of "princess rock"
Conclusion 4: This in no way is a "simple" outfit. Its like she lost a fight with a doilie.
Highlight 2: Every second Colbert was on screen.
Observation 4: Are kids the new hot accessory?
Highlight 3: This tweet sums up all there is to say about TayTay Swift's performances
SESweeting GUISE OMG, TAYLOR SWIFT IS NOT OFF-KEY. SHE IS SINGING IN THE FAIRYTALE OCTAVE.
Ok gotta get back to work but feel free to add you own observations etc. :)
I just want a tat of Lady Gaga's claw fingers. Weird. Loved Beyonce getting down to the MJ. Dying to figure out the sticker on the Zac Brown band lead guitar. Maxwell song was totally un-needed... who is he anyway? Thought Taylor S was more out of tune on the first part of her song than on the duet. Did Pink go too far?? I mean, cool and all, but wth?
ReplyDeleteOur conclusion re: sticker was it was a Colbert Nation sticker. I thought the Maxwell song was great, but then again I like smooth soul. The pink thiing made me feel horrible for all the people she sprayed on. Can you just imagine. Ick poo.
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to offend you and your smooth soul. Ha ha ha... But, it is the clear difference btwn watching the Grammy's in with all adults and drinks and watching with kids on a school night... I was all about cutting acts to get a 10 o'clock bed time. Thus, Maxwell was on the chopping block, despite his smoothness.
