I got these really cute penguin salt and pepper shakers for Christmas from Ryan's sister. They were unpacked and put on a shelf in the kitchen not used much but loved for their gestures. Then while in New York a few weekends ago Ry picked up this very adorable little salt dish (if you know our house we are big fans of little salt dishes). We brought the dish home and made it the smoked salt dish and, you know, went on living our life.
That is until I come out of the bedroom last week and Ryan is in the kitchen with a huge smile on his face. It's the smile he wears when he is really proud of himself so I immediately looked around for the source. And there on the counter is the below vignette. The 'Guin family as they're now known in the Zumsen household are sure to be a permanent presence on our counter for years to come.
